These letters, which cover the years 1918-1927, relate to Otto H. Kahn, a prominent banker and patron of the arts. Included is correspondence acknowledging Edison's receipt of an autographed photograph of Kahn, congratulating Edison on his eightieth birthday, and requesting a donation by Edison to the Shakespeare Memorial Theater. Also included is a copy of a February 1922 letter to Edison from insurance executive Darwin P. Kingsley, responding to a series of questions on monetary issues, the gold standard, and the national economy.
