This notebook by John F. Ott covers the years 1878-1886. The notes and drawings relate to a variety of inventions by Ott and Edison, including incandescent lamps, generators, meters, pressure indicators, and regulators. There is also material pertaining to the telephone, phonograph, microphone, and electric pen, along entries dealing with railway telegraphy and electric traction. The book contains 55 numbered pages, followed by 6 unnumbered pages. Four loose pages have been inserted the book.
