The two items in this collection are both death certificates. The first is the death certificate of Edison's father-in-law, Nicholas Stilwell, who died on April 9, 1884, at the age of sixty-one. The second is that of Edison'w wife, Mary Stilwell, who died exactly four months later at the age of twenty-eight.
