This letter by Louise Igoe Miller (1858-1937), widow of Robert Anderson Miller (1861-1911), is dated March 26, 1913. Writing to Mina Miller Edison from Madrid, Spain, Louise comments on the Spanish celebration of Easter; the Catholic religion; an Edison phonograph she saw in the King's Palace at La Granja; the activities of her daughter and traveling companion, Rachel, and her sons, Robert Jr. and Lewis; Madeleine Edison's trip to Italy; and the recent death of Mina's friend and neighbor, Bertha Nichols.
