The items in this collection relate to the Edison Chemical Works, the Edison Storage Battery Co., and its main competitor, the Electric Storage Battery Co. Included are several notes in Edison's hand. These items were released to Dr. Salkind in 1986 by the Exide Corporation, successor to the Electric Storage Battery Co. which had acquired the Edison Storage Battery Co. in 1960.
