Smithsonian Institution, Washington, D. C. -- National Museum of American History Archives Center: Joseph Henry Papers
[X619]

There are two Edison-related documents in this collection. The first item is an April 16, 1878 telegram from Edison to Henry regarding the demonstration of the phonograph and telephone before the National Academy of Sciences in Washington, D.C. It was published as part of Doc. 1291 in The Papers of Thomas A. Edison, Vol. 4. The other document, probably written a few days later while Edison was in Washington, is a note to Henry on Department of Interior stationery.
