Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village Research Center, Dearborn, Mich. :: Edison Papers and Related Items -- Series V: Edison Pioneers -- Clarke, Charles L. -- Notebook: Electrical Light Meter 3
This notebook, which covers the period July-August 1882, is the third of four notebooks used to record tests of zinc electric meters and batteries at the Edison Machine Works in New York City. The entries are by unidentified experimenters. Like the other notebooks in this series, it is a handwritten copy, probably made during the 1920s or 1930s at the direction of Clarke, of the original notebook that was used in the Testing Room at the Edison Machine Works. The label on the front cover is inscribed "Electric Light Meter 3." The notation "Meter Book No. 2" is inscribed on the page preceding the first entry. Four graphs, one bearing the stamp "Charles L. Clarke," have been inserted into the book The pages are irregularly numbered; approximately 90 pages have been used.
