Since 1978, the Thomas A. Edison Papers Project has been the world's premier center for Edison scholarship, making Edison's world accessible through the publication (both online and in our print editions) of thousands of documents relating to the world's foremost inventor and to the history of technology more generally. We are dedicated to continuing this important work, but in these challenging times, we need your help.

Although much of our funding comes from state and federal grants, recent sharp reductions in government support now threaten our ability to sustain this important project. In the coming year, these cuts caused a $50,000 short-fall in our operating budget!
