Lewis and Mary Latimer saw this display of twelve working Edison dynamos at the Crystal Palace Exhibition Hall, Saturday, March 4, 1882. Electrical manufacturers would show off their latest equipment at exhibits like this, in America and Europe. Mary wrote in her diary that they "stayed until I was thoroughly tired out."
