Nearly 200,000 document images are accessible through the digital image edition. Included are documents from the archives of the Thomas Edison National Historical Park, scanned from Parts I-III of the Microfilm Edition, along with items from nearly 150 other repositories and private collections. The edition also includes PDFs of Edison's 1,093 U.S. Patents and over 500 Motion Picture Catalogs by American Producers and Distributors, 1894–1908 accessible through the New Jersey Digital Highway.
Through its integrated structure and ease of access, the Digital Edition provides powerful search capabilities enabling users to search for authors, recipients, and names mentioned in a database of 143,500 document records and 23,300 names.
